Job Description

• Advise and assist the Executive Board in managing and directing activities in the Retail Banking / SME segment of SHB Cambodia.

• Direct research and analysis of market, territory, competitors, and customers in the retail segment to advise the CEO in developing appropriate strategies and business plans.

• Develop specific monthly/quarterly/annual activity plans for the Retail/SME segment based on the bank’s overall plan; organize implementation, monitor activities, and ensure achievement of monthly/quarterly/annual targets.

• Manage and develop customer relationships in the Retail/SME segment.

• Manage, train, and develop personnel under the Retail/SME segment.

• Prepare periodic or ad hoc reports related to Retail/SME activities as required by the CEO.

• Perform other professional tasks assigned directly by the Board of Directors/CEO.

5. Preferences: Candidates proficient in Khmer / Vietnamese / English.

Job Requirements

1. Education & Certifications

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree or higher in majors such as Finance – Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or Auditing.

• Specialized Certification: Banking credit operations.

• Specialized Knowledge: In-depth understanding of banking operations, types of risks in banking activities (credit risk, operational risk, market risk, liquidity risk, etc.), and relevant legal regulations of NBC (National Bank of Cambodia).

2. Work Experience

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years working in financial institutions.

• Management Experience: At least 3 years of experience in positions such as retail business development manager (equivalent to Head/Deputy Head of Department) / branch manager or higher, or 2 years in an equivalent position.

• Knowledge of Regulations: Thorough understanding of credit regulations, processes, standards, and professional ethics.

• Legal Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the Law on Credit Institutions, Enterprise Law, Civil Law, banking regulations, and related legal frameworks. Ability to analyze and assess the impact of government regulations on retail banking activities.

• Banking Expertise: Strong knowledge of banking operations and products/services, with broad and comprehensive expertise in retail credit.

• Strategic Understanding: Familiarity with the bank’s strategic objectives, business model, and the regional business environment.

• Sales & Team Management: Experience in developing and managing sales teams.

• Strategic Contribution: Ability to propose ideas/initiatives and advise leadership on business orientation (from products to markets and customer segments), thereby enhancing overall performance across the system and creating competitive advantages compared to other banks.
