Job Description
• Advise and assist the Chairman of the Risk Management Committee in managing and directing risk management activities at SHB Cambodia.
• Develop and implement the risk management framework of SHB Cambodia.
• Monitor and assess various types of risks (credit, operational, market, etc.).
• Propose measures to control and mitigate risks.
• Prepare periodic risk reports for the Risk Management Committee / Executive Board of SHB Cambodia.
5. Preferences: Candidates proficient in Khmer / Vietnamese / English.
Job Requirements
1. Education & Certifications
• Degree: Bachelor’s degree or higher in majors such as Finance – Banking, Accounting, Risk Management, or related fields such as Economics, Business Administration, Law, Auditing.
• International Certifications: Possession of reputable international certifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA to enhance competitiveness, especially for senior management positions.
• Specialized Certifications: If not holding a degree in Risk Management, must have a certificate in risk management training or insurance actuarial studies issued by reputable training institutions.
• Specialized Knowledge: In-depth understanding of banking operations, types of risks in banking activities (credit risk, operational risk, market risk, liquidity risk, etc.), and relevant legal regulations of NBC (National Bank of Cambodia).
2. Work Experience
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in finance or banking, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial or senior specialist role within risk management or related fields (internal audit, compliance control).
• Management Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading teams, implementing risk management strategies, planning, designing, and executing comprehensive risk management processes, and overseeing staff.
3. Skills & Qualities
• Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information effectively to identify and measure risks.
• Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop both short-term and long-term risk management plans aligned with the bank’s business objectives.
• Leadership & Management Skills: Ability to organize work, assign tasks, monitor performance, and develop staff within the department.
• Communication & Negotiation Skills: Clear and effective communication, with the ability to coordinate with other divisions/departments across the bank.
• Stress Management: Ability to work under high pressure and make timely decisions in risk situations.
